I had put back the receiver of the telephone with regret, I had inside that trip but the idea to travel with the armed escort for long strokes, did not excite me and then? There was something unexplored in my horizon that was lacking me- accomplice a passage in Tunisia (where I know Ermanno and Antonello)- I draw the itinerary on the paper.
"HASTA AL FONDO" is a joke that is the sense of the journey, with departure from Lima Perù and arrival to Ushuaia Argentina, the southernmost city in the world . Even if I know part of the itinerary, the idea to travel on the Andean mane of Peru, the desolate but marvellous Bolivian moors with its salar and lagoons, the volcanos and the Chilean summits then to take the Route 40 and to go down where the Strait of Magellan divides the Pacific Ocean from the Atlantic, puts me in a condition of euphoria, so it does not remain that to equip the motorbike and turn the key once arrived in South America.
With departure from Lima and after a short stroke of Pan-American, at Ica we will take the road for Ayacucho surpassing steps beyond the 4000 Mt, then we go down in off road to Abancay and we go up to Cuzco, the ancient Incan capital. We arrived to Machu Picchu, the Inca ruins of the lost city and we will continue for Titicaca, the highest navigable lake of the world entering in Bolivia. 
After Titicaca Lake and the rests of Tawainacho, we will continue for the Bolivian highlands and it will be true adventure, everything in off road, just the look to the horizon and its references will be our GPS. We will sleep in the simply Salina Hotel in Mendoza. I hope to meet again the governmental official who acted as first citizen of this land, kind and hospitable like in 2005.
In the morning, the little village behind us, we will plunge ourselves in the salar of Uyunj, the larger salted lake in the world with its 12000 Kmqs. Personally it is the third time that I put the wheels on this white and sparkling expanse, our means will lead us to Incahuasi Island, known for the presence of the Cactus Corales, then we will sleep to San Juan Pueblo, near the volcano Chiguana. We continue to search the lagoons with the loaded and in full autonomy motorbike. The Hemp and Hadionta lagoons with the flamingos to populate them, then the strangeness of the trees of stone in order to reach the Colorada Lagoon synonymous of colors and landscapes.
The next day we go down for the Green Lagoon through the desert of Dalì in honor of the Spanish painter, so called for the strangeness that will fill our sight. We will have a bath in the famous Ghaisers present in big number along the track. The Green Lagoon marks the boundary line with Chile, a brief stop in San Pedro of Atacama and from here in ahead, we will find only asphalt.
We executed the due maintenance to the motorbike than we take the Austral Carrettera to Port Quellon where we will ferry for Chaiten. The volcano that overhangs the town, in perpetual activity, the summits of the snow-covered mountains will lead us to the lake Buones Aires traveling the Ruta 7.
From Chile Chico we will enter in Argentina, the mythical Ruta 40 that leaves from the north of Argentina and goes down till Ushuaia, will be our reference for days. We will stop at the Perito Moreno, the perennial glacier, the greater natural attraction of the Patagonia. The wind and the dust will accompany us till Garibaldi Pass, where Ushuaia will be the terminus of the journey.
Four countries, about 11000 Km of which 7000 in off road, with passages over 4000/5000 Mt. The motorbike of the trip is KTM 690E, the reliability, the power of its engine united to a first-class cycling, will be once again my traveling companion, an all journey Ready to Race, that I will share with Ermanno with another 690E with promotion kit, with Mirco with 990ADV, with Antonello with 625 to wich it has been replaced a 28Lt tank .
